Florence Christian Church - Music Ministry

The purpose of the Florence Christian Church Chancel Choir is to provide music and musical leadership for the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services on Sunday mornings. We also sing for special services such as Christmas Eve and Ash Wednesday. In addition, we take opportunities to sing for occasional community events as a service of mission.

We welcome faithful men and women who love to sing and enjoy sharing the gift of music in service to God with others.

Members of the Chancel Choir commit to a weekly rehearsal and Sunday morning worship service(s) in September through May. Part-time schedule during the summer months. Child care is provided for rehearsals.

Main Street & Harmony Place Praise Teams

The purpose of the Praise Team at Florence Christian Church is to provide music and musical leadership for the 9:45 worship celebration at the Main Street Campus and the 9:30 worship experience at the Harmony Place Campus each Sunday.

Our Praise Teams are made up of faithful men and women who desire to share music in a more contemporary style and setting. These groups combine singers and instrumentalists who are confident sharing their gift of music in service to God with others.

Praise Team members commit to a weekly rehearsal and Sunday morning services. Singers are also to be available to sing in the Chancel Choir if possible. An informal audition is requested. Child care is provided for rehearsals.

Senior Choir

The Purpose of the Florence Christian Center Senior Choir is to provide music and musical leadership for the weekly Chapel service at the Senior Center. We also sing occasional at the Florence Christian Church worship services and various events at the Senior Center and around town.

Faithful senior men and women who enjoy singing and find sharing their faith through music fun and rewarding are welcome to sing with this group. One need not be a resident of the Florence Christian Center to be a part of the Senior Choir.

This group rehearses weekly prior to the Chapel service.

Handbell Choir

Florence Christian Church is blessed to have five octaves of Schulmerick Handbells that are used to enhance our worship experience.

Primarily used during special seasons of the Christian year, the handbells help us celebrate Christmas and Easter with their joyful and festive sound.

It is our dream to one day add ongoing handbell choirs to our growing music ministry. If you have a desire to help in making this dream a reality, please contact Rev. Bob.
